Cutting from the Hampshire Observer for 19 Mar 1938 reporting on a meeting of the Alresford and District Ratepayers' Association
Proposals for improvements to the Recreation Ground and its administration were discussed at this meeting

Correspondence with the Charity Commission and Department of Education and Science concerning Recreation Ground Reserve Fund and maintenance costs It appears from this correspondence that the Recreation Ground was transferred to the Parish Council in 1959
